Welcome to my blog of reflections on the events, struggles, and celebrations of daily life.

This past June 2015, I retired from many years as a chaplain in the Twin Cities area.  I worked in both hospital and nursing home settings.  A month after I retired, I made a big move to Charleston, South Carolina with my husband, Rick. We chose Charleston to be closer to our son, Brendon, and to enjoy the wonderful outdoors throughout the year.

As a chaplain, I served as a frequent speaker to various groups, including grief coalitions, parishes, and professional conferences.  My primary topics included grief and loss, aging, and caregiving.  As you will see, I’ve included these topics, among others, on this blog.

Thanks again for visiting this blog.

    1. Hi, Thank you so much for your nomination! I am very honored that you would nominate my blog for this award. I have admiration for the work that you and so many others do as caregivers. Best wishes to you as you care for your mother, and thanks for sharing your caregiving experiences in your blog!
